Toyota Kirloskar Motor(TKM) has appointed Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana as the new brand ambassador for Toyota Urban Cruiser.
The actor will be the face of Cruiser’s promotional campaigns as well work with various and print communications to enhance its image.
Naveen Soni, senior vice president, sales and service, TKM, said, “Ayushmann Khurrana is an exemplar of a self-made actor, someone who is extremely versatile and respected by critics and audience alike. His story is an inspiration to many young people and resonates the spirit of the all-new Urban Cruiser. We are confident that with this association, we will be able to connect with the customers, especially the young, across the nook and corners of the country.”
Khurrana added, “When people ask me about my journey, the love and respect I have earned in the entertainment industry, I always say ‘Respect is simply an outcome of what I have done’. Therefore, I love the idea of ‘respect’ being the mantra of the Urban Cruiser.”
Toyota will launch Urban Cruiser on 23 September. It is based on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, with Smart Hybrid Technology. The feature list on Urban Cruiser includes a seven-inch Smart Playcast system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, push-button start/stop, automatic AC, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers among others.
Meanwhile, the car would be promoted with the idea that respect cannot be demanded; it must be earned.
