Top budget CNG cars: Due to the launch of new models with contemporary technology and features, the CNG segment of the Indian auto industry has seen considerable activity in recent years. They offer good performance compared to their predecessors and are among the most fuel-efficient automobiles on the market today. Now that there are so many possibilities below the Rs. 10 lakh threshold, here are some of the best-equipped models to take into consideration.
Top budget CNG cars: Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios’ mid-spec Magna and Sportz models, which are priced at Rs 7.58 lakh and Rs 8.13 lakh, respectively, each come with an optional CNG kit. The Hyundai hatchback is equipped with plenty of features, including an 8-inch touchscreen, keyless entry, a height-adjustable driver seat, a cooled glove box, and auto air conditioning with rear AC vents. Four airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), TPMS, and a reversing camera all contribute to passenger safety. The Maruti Swift, which is available in both petrol and CNG, is its sole direct opponent.
Tata Tiago CNG
The Tata Tiago CNG debuted on the market in 2022, but it has since received a facelift that uses twin-cylinder technology akin to the Altroz. It now offers a boot that is more practical as a result. The five available varieties are the XE, XM, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Dual Tone (DT). Tata is the first and only company to offer a push-button and direct “CNG mode” start option. Between Rs 6.55 lakh and Rs 8.20 lakh, Tata charges retail for the Tiago CNG. On the other side, the Tiago NRG CNG is priced between Rs. 7.65 lakh and Rs. 8.10 lakh. The Tiago competes with the Maruti Celerio and Waggon R in the CNG market.
Maruti Alto K10
The Maruti Alto K10 is the least expensive CNG vehicle available on the market. This entry-level hatchback’s alternative fuel option is only available with the mid-spec VXi model. Full wheel covers, front power windows, a simple music system, keyless entry, and manual air conditioning are available for the Alto K10 VXi CNG. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors are all part of its safety package. The cost is Rs. 5.96 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Three vehicles are available with a CNG option in the premium hatchback market; the Maruti Baleno and the Toyota Glanza are two of these vehicles. Out of all the CNG variants with a 1.2-litre engine that are available, this one has the strongest CNG option. Toyota Glanza CNG retails between Rs 8.60 lakh and Rs 9.63 lakh, whereas Maruti sells the Baleno CNG for between Rs 8.35 lakh and Rs 9.28 lakh. Both of them are offered in their respective mid-spec trims—Delta and Zeta for the Baleno and S and G for the Glanza—with the optional CNG kit.
