Upcoming Yamaha Bikes: Yamaha India is likely to release the upgraded MT 15 in the home market soon. The MT 15 received numerous improvements last year and is now available for a starting price of Rs. 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The MT 15 V2 will most certainly be modified to meet more rigorous emission requirements beginning in April 2023.
Need of these variants
Honda debuted the 2023 Activa 6G adhering to OBD 2 requirements a few days ago, and more automakers will join the party ahead of the deadline, including Yamaha. Aside from the necessary improvements to comply with BSVI Stage 2, we do not expect any other updates to accompany the MT 15 V2, and its costs may rise slightly.

Features of MT15 V2
The naked streetfighter is powered by a 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled VVA engine with a maximum power output of 18.1 bhp and peak torque of 14.1 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The USD front forks, LED lighting unit all around, a digital cluster, a dual-channel ABS system, and other characteristics distinguish the MT 15 V2.
Advanced features of this new variant
The 2023 Yamaha MT 15 V2 will be complemented by an improved FZ-X model. As with the RE Himalayan, it will have a metal frame linking the headlamp and the fuel tank, a new windscreen for enhanced aero stability, and a new front fender. It will continue to use the 149 cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 12.2 horsepower and 13.3 Nm while adhering to OBD 2 standards.
Other features
A five-speed transmission will be coupled to the engine. Aside from these small changes, we do not anticipate any significant changes to the features list. It will still have a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console, tubeless tyres, telescopic front forks, and a preload-adjustable monoshock rear suspension.
Upcoming Yamaha Bikes: Dual-channel ABS option
A dual-channel ABS option could assist to broaden the portfolio, as the FZ-X is presently only available with a single-channel ABS version. It will also have gold-colored alloy wheels on the front and back. Prices could be increased slightly because the current FZ-X costs roughly Rs. 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom).
