Vivo V25 Pro: In choosing your next smartphone, how significant is the design? While some could argue that this is irrelevant today because most phones resemble one another, firms like Vivo are making an effort to offer some individuality. The newest product from Vivo, the V25 Pro, seeks to put more of an emphasis on design while also bringing some camera enhancements. But given that it starts at Rs 35,999, is it worthwhile to think about? Here’s our evaluation.

Review
Given its double-edged curved display and thin body factor, the Vivo V25 Pro is all about appearances. The entire back is made of glass, which changes colour when exposed to UV or sunshine. This is a feature that we’ve seen on a lot of phones recently, including the brand’s earlier V23 series. The back of the Vivo V25 Pro changes to a deeper, richer shade of blue. Although it’s not particularly novel, it does provide a cool impact. The Vivo V25 Pro’s blue colour caught my eye quite a bit. The absence of smudges on the rear is also beneficial. Additionally, the Vivo V25 Pro is lighter and smaller than my everyday iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is always a comfort.
The 6.53-inch display on the phone is certainly large, but the V25 Pro has a luxury appearance thanks to its curved edges on the front and back. The screen is an AMOLED with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Users can choose between 60 Hz and 120 Hz on Vivo devices, and there is also a smart switch option that determines the refresh rate based on the scenarios. Naturally, the phone’s battery will discharge more quickly if you use the highest refresh rate, which is 120 Hz. Additionally, the gadget has an in-display fingerprint reader that unlocks the tablet quickly.
You will enjoy watching content on Netflix, YouTube, etc. on the wonderful display. Playing video games is enjoyable too. When used in really bright sunlight, it is reflective, but the content is still readable and shouldn’t be an issue for the majority of users.
What about the camera?
Vivo also makes a big deal out of the V25 Pro’s camera, which has a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It has a 32MP selfie camera. I’ll begin with the selfie camera. When using the selfie camera without the beauty filter features activated, this does a good job of capturing details. The colours and tones are also pleasing and not overly processed. However, I don’t like how much the beauty filters tend to smooth out the skin. Selfies taken in beauty mode may appear a little unrealistic, but not everyone will find this to be an issue.
