Vivo X Fold+: Some people find it a little intriguing that Vivo is introducing another foldable phone. After all, the company had recently made its initial entry into the sector. Well, Vivo chose to update its foldable in light of the release of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and new foldables that use this SoC. It makes sense because the upgraded chipset may make other foldables, such as the Mi MIX Fold 2, a better choice. In light of this, the company unveiled the Vivo X Fold+.
Upgraded Performance
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which the vivo X Fold+ utilises, promises (according to Qualcomm’s official data) a 30% reduction in power utilisation along with a 10% boost in performance. The vivo X Fold+ is now officially available in a brand-new colour.
Battery
Additionally, a slightly larger 4,730 mAh battery is included with the Vivo X Fold+. After all, the older model has a 4,600 mAh capacity, so that is really a modest improvement. The phone will provide longer durability if we consider the added efficiency. Additionally, the phone can now charge at 80 W instead of 66 W. Customers can therefore consume 70% of the juice in 18 minutes. It will take about 35 minutes to fully recharge. The phone also features 50W wireless charging.
Design
The Vivo X Fold+ keeps the same features as its predecessor in terms of design. It includes an 8-inch foldable panel with Ultra Thing Glass technology, for example. It has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Of course, depending on the content, it might vary between 1 Hz and 120 Hz for energy efficiency. The cover display has a diagonal of 6.53 inches. The inclusion of ultrasonic fingerprint readers on both panels is interesting. So whether you have it unfolded or folded, you won’t have any trouble unlocking it.
Audio clarity
The Vivo X Fold+ hinge may remain open in a number of positions. This will allow you to choose the ideal alternative for multimedia and video calls. Vivo has improved the stereo speakers as well. Therefore, regardless of the usage angle, the audio will always be immersive and clear.
Camera
The 50 MP main camera of the Vivo X Fold+ has excellent optics. A 48 MP ultrawide camera and two telephoto modules are also included. A 12 MP camera for portraits with a 47 mm lens and one 8 MP periscope camera with a 5x zoom provide the zooming capabilities. OIS and a 60x digital zoom are also available.
New colourway and pricing
Introducing a fresh Huaxia Red colorway for the Vivo X Fold+. Like the other hues, it has a faux leather covering. The business also offers a durable imitation leather case in the same shade.
Pre-orders for the new phone are now being accepted in China. Sales will start in earnest on September 29. The entry-level model costs CNY 10,000 ($1,400) and comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. A 12GB/512GB version is also available for CNY 11,000 in China.
Giveaways for preorder
For customers who place a preorder for the phone, the business is providing a complimentary 50W wireless charger and protective case. The promotion will last until October 7. There is a cap on the quantity that can be purchased, though.
