2025 Kia Carnival: After a number of minor revisions, Kia presented the 2025 Carnival MPV in October of last year. However, the hybrid powertrain-equipped MPV has just been presented by the South Korean automaker. In this article, we will tell you all you need to know about this amazing luxury MPV.
2025 Kia Carnival powertrain details
The new Kia Carnival hybrid is powered by two engines: a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine and an electric motor with 72 horsepower. A 6-speed automated transmission combined with this arrangement yields a total output of 239bhp and 368Nm. Surprisingly, this same engine is also used in Kia’s Sportage and Sorento cars sold outside.
The 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine that powers the front wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox is the standard powertrain, except for this. It has somewhat less power than the predecessor, generating 283 horsepower and 353 Nm instead of 286 horsepower and 355 Nm.
Design and Features onboard
A reworked grille, a modified bumper, updated headlights and a new wheel design are among the design revisions of the 2025 Carnival, most of which are derived from the brand’s EV9 model. A 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two 14.6-inch entertainment screens for the back seats, a fully digital instrument cluster and a tonne of other linked technology are all included within the 2025 Kia Carnival.
Launch in India
Kia plans to launch the updated Carnival in India shortly. The redesigned MPV is rumoured to cost between Rs 32 lakh and Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom), despite there having been no formal announcement.
