2024 Skoda Kodiaq: Could it be the Toyota Fortuner Killer? Check out

2024 Skoda Kodiaq: The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq, which has a redesigned look, a modern interior, a plethora of new features, and a choice of powertrains, has finally made its world premiere. Since its debut in 2016, this is the Skoda flagship SUV’s first significant update. In this article, we will tell you all about the upcoming SUV and see if it can take the crown from the Toyota Fortuner.

2024 Skoda Kodiaq Details

Powertrain details

Both a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid system and a diesel engine alternative are among the many exciting options that the Kodiaq offers globally. We regretfully do not anticipate seeing any of them travel to India. In India, we can expect simply the 2.0-litre turbo petrol that already powers the existing Kodiaq. When coupled with a DSG transmission, it can produce 188 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque in its current configuration. The 4×4 capability of this engine ought to be standard.

Features onboard

The Kodiaq, which will share a cabin with the next-generation Superb, now adheres to a minimalist lifestyle because of its orderly and uncluttered design. The same two-spoke steering wheel as the Slavia/Kushaq is included, as are two digital displays: a 13.0-inch infotainment system and a 10-inch virtual cockpit now sit behind the steering wheel.
Like its predecessors, the new Kodiaq will be available in five- and seven-seat configurations, with the latter being the only one available in India. Ambient lighting, climate control, wireless charging, and an abundance of storage space are just a few of the new features that have been included. Additionally, Skoda has added ADAS and a reverse camera.

Expected Price in India

In order for its pricing to be competitive with that of the Fortuner, we hope it is delivered via the CKD way. We anticipate that the Skoda Kodiaq will cost between Rs 52 lakh and Rs 57 lakh (on road).
