2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP unveiled, All you need to know about this beast

2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP: Yamaha has debuted the new, higher-spec SP version of its triple-cylinder street naked, just days after revealing the upgraded MT-09. Redesigned underpinnings, fresh electronics, and an altered style are among the updates. In this article, we will tell you all you must know about this amazing bike.

2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP details

With a revised front fascia, a rebuilt fuel tank, and a split-seat layout, the SP receives the same design upgrade as the base MT-09. On the hardware front, however, the motorcycle now has a new 41mm KYB front fork that is fully adjustable and coated in DLC, giving riders more control and versatility. A remote preload adjuster and a completely adjustable Öhlins mono shock in the rear offer a customised and pleasant riding experience.

As for the brakes, the hardware now consists of a Brembo radial master cylinder and Brembo Stylema monoblock callipers up front. Brake discs measuring 298 mm are synchronised with this combination. The rear has a single 245 mm brake disc and calliper combination. To provide safety and control, both ends have standard ABS installed.

Features onboard

With Yamaha Ride Control, a recent addition to the 2024 Yamaha MT 09 SP, riders may now customise the power of the engine and electrical ride aids to suit their preferences. This results in a riding experience that is incredibly customizable.

Other than that, the 2024 MT-09 SP is the first naked bike in the company’s portfolio to come equipped with Yamaha’s Smart Key system. You may quickly start the engine with a simple flip of the switch if you carry an electronic key fob in your pocket. The fuel cap may be locked and unlocked with the help of the same key fob, removing the need to take it off while refuelling.

Powertrain details

The 890cc CP3 engine from the previous model has not been changed by Yamaha. It is now Euro-5 compliant, though.

2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP: Launch in India

The MT-09 SP is sold by Yamaha in a number of international markets, with the exception of India. It is highly unlikely that the SP will arrive in our country, even though the brand will probably introduce the 2024 MT-09 there.
