Kota has been famous all over the country for the preparation of engineering and medical examinations

Significantly, Kota has been famous all over the country for the preparation of engineering and medical examinations. However, in recent times many suicide cases by students have come to the fore. A few days ago, in view of the increasing cases of suicide, the administration had set up a suicide hotline, where students at risk could call for counselling. There has often been a complaint of stress from the side of the students.

It has been continuously complained by the students that long classes and heavy assignments are being given by these coaching institutes. Due to which there is a lot of pressure on them. In the year 2016, before committing suicide, a student had also said that all coaching institutes should be closed.
In 2019, the Rajasthan government constituted a state-level committee to prepare a legislative draft for the regulation of coaching centers to reduce stress among those studying in such institutions. Although there is no public information on the draft yet.
