In the Machil area of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, 3 army soldiers have been martyred due to avalanche. All the dead bodies have been taken out. All these three jawans belonged to 56 RR unit and got hit by an avalanche while on duty.
Bodies have been shifted to 168 MH Drugmulla
All the three jawans were posted near Almora and this avalanche happened at around 12 o’clock. The three jawans who lost their lives in this accident are Souvik Hazra, Mukesh Kumar and Gaikwad Manoj Laxman Rao. The bodies have been shifted to 168 MH Drugmulla.
According to the army spokesman, two soldiers trapped in this avalanche were rescued and taken to the military hospital in Kupwara. At the same time, another soldier posted on duty also got hypothermia. All three were taken to the hospital. Despite treatment, the lives of all three could not be saved.
SPO lost his life in a road accident
Recently, a 27-year-old Special Police Officer (SPO) was also killed after being hit by a speeding truck on Narwal Bypass in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours. Sikander Singh Chauhan, in-charge of Bagh-e-Bahu police station, told that the truck driver was also injured in the accident. He lost control of his vehicle and his truck rammed into another parked truck.
SPO Rajat Chaudhary, a resident of Bishnah, was part of the police team checking vehicles near the forest check post on the bypass. During this, he was hit by a speeding truck, due to which he was seriously injured. The officer said his colleagues took him to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
