Maruti Suzuki Swift: The most recent Maruti Suzuki Swift prototype, which debuted at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show in concept form, was recently observed testing in India, suggesting that the car’s release may not be too far off. The car, which debuted in photos in October 2023, will have a drastically altered exterior and interior design. Following the third-generation model, which has been available for purchase in India for nearly seven years, this launch will usher in the fourth generation of the well-liked hatchback. In this article, we will tell you all you need to know about the upcoming car.
4th Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift details
The test mule features every modification seen in the new Swift, which Suzuki unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show. A clamshell bonnet that gives the front a flatter appearance, a redesigned face with a sportier bumper, and an angrier grill are the new features.
With a unique LED DRL design, LED headlights are relatively new. With fog lights, the lower bumper no longer gets to enjoy its big smile and dimples. As a fake skid plate, Maruti is going to promote the silver element in the lower bumper of the fourth-generation model. The new wheels and rear door handles in the traditional position instead of the C-pillars are the only changes to the otherwise plain appearance. The overall silhouette resembles that of the third-generation Swift. New LED tail lights, a tailboard and a much sportier rear bumper are the changes to the back area.
Powertrain details
With an output rated at 89 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, the Swift’s 1.2-liter NA petrol engine is currently mated to either an AMT or a five-speed manual gearbox. The new Z12E engine, which has an output of about 100 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, might take the place of this unit. In the upcoming months, more information should become available.
Interior
Redesigned AC vents, a new nine-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, touch-based controls for AC functions, and automatic climate control are some of the possible improvements for the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024. Although it’s unlikely to be available with the India-spec vehicle, the Japanese-spec model also has a Level 2 ADAS package.
