Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is in Turkey for the shooting of his new movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, during the same, few photographs have surfaced on the internet which made netizens unhappy and that too a big time in India.
The pictures showed Aamir Khan meeting Emine Erdogan, the first lady of Turkey. Reports claimed that Aamir Khan flew to Turkey earlier this month for the shoot of his upcoming film as the shoot had to be moved to Turkey amid the surge in coronavirus cases in India.
So clearly, it was under these circumstances that the actor decided to pay a visit to Turkey’s first lady. However, Netizens expressed dissatisfaction with the meeting due to the deepening divide between India and Turkey. They asserted the Turkish President Recep Erdogan haf gone out of his way to offend India.
In February, the Turkish president had showed his support to Pakistan’s Kashmir claim during an address to the Pakistani parliament. Earlier this month, Erdogan raised the Kashmir issue again while speaking to Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi.
Netizens questioned why did Aamir Khan felt the need to visit the first lady of a country that cannot respect India’s sovereignty.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir was last seen in multi-starrer Thugs of Hindostan which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. The film had failed to make an impression on audience as well as on the critics. Currently, the actor is shooting for his next film Laal Singh Chadha. The film stars Kareena Kapoor opposite Aamir Khan and is an official Indian remake of Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’ which had featured Tom Hanks in the lead role.
