Airtel 5G service: After a protracted wait, 5G services have now been made available in India, the second-largest internet market in the world. These services will guarantee flawless coverage, fast data speeds, and low latency, ushering in a revolution and a new era in the country’s telecoms industry. The launch took place as Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the sixth iteration of the India Mobile Congress (IMC), which was hosted in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
5G services will first be introduced to a small number of cities, including some metropolises
Even if you have a 5G-compatible smartphone, do not anticipate being able to instantly use the next generation network because it will take a few years for the entire nation to be covered. This will effectively change the digital landscape in India and boost its economy by billions (the estimated value is Rs. 36.4 trillion or $455 billion) between 2023 and 2040.

Cities where 5G service will be launched
13 cities—Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune—will offer 5G services in the first phase of the launch. In a tweet, Devusinh Chauhan, the Indian government’s state minister for communications, stated that by 2024, service providers plan to roll out 5G to 75% of Indian population.
These operators, of course, include well-known companies like Reliance Jio and Airtel 5G service as well as others who took part in the most recent telecom spectrum auction. With a winning bid of 88,000 crores, Reliance Jio won the auction and will now be the first company to offer 5G services in the nation. By Diwali 2022, the services will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, and by December 2023, 5G would be available nationwide.
