Apple Smart Watch: Once more, this has succeeded. After identifying abnormal heart rates, the smartwatch’s ECG sensor saved a life.
What’s interesting is that this UK-based man’s life was saved by his Apple Watch more than 3,000 times, not just once or twice. He claimed that the ECG heart sensor’s nearly 3,000 alerts for a low resting heart rate helped save his life.
The old man visited hospital after several alerts by Apple Smart Watch
According to the Independent reports, David Last, 54, said he visited the hospital after receiving several alerts on his wife’s gift of an Apple Watch. He was surprised to learn how many heart issues he had been dealing with all this time after undergoing a number of medical tests.
ECG heart sensor in the smart watch examined his low heart rate
According to the report, the man discovered his heart rate dropped to as low as 30 beats per minute on several occasions while wearing the Apple Watch (normal heart rate should between 60-100bpm). His wife repeatedly observed the decline in heart rate and urged him to have it examined. His heart rate slowed down roughly 138 times in 10 seconds over the course of the 48-hour testing period, according to results from ECG, MRI, and other tests.
His wife had gifted him the Apple smart watch on his birthday
According to reports, the man had a significant heart blockage, and doctors advised immediate surgery. He underwent the procedure, and a pacemaker was installed to monitor irregular heart rhythms. The man, who is now safe and sound, attributes his survival to Apple Watch. On his birthday in April of this year, his wife gave him the Apple Watch. “I wouldn’t be here if she hadn’t given me my Apple watch for my birthday. She gave it to me, and I will always be grateful to her. In addition to charging it, it now constantly accompanies me “The man was quoted in the newspaper.
