What to Look for in an adventure bike in India.

1. Will you actually use it for off-roading?

Consider how much more off-road riding you’ll undertake compared to tarmac riding. Choose a 50/50 bike if it’s a 50/50 gamble. The size of the front wheel becomes less significant the more tarmac you travel, and the heavier you may go for a more comfortable touring motorbike with more cylinders.

2. Always consider these points before buying an adventurer

3. Luggage system support

You’re going to need a lot of luggage if you’re going on a lengthy journey. Since you’ll probably be camping for a longer period of time, your bag will also need to be larger. You and your equipment must be able to ride on your bike. Even if you only use soft baggage, your bike should have mounting points for pannier racks because you don’t want the bags to rest against your wheel or exhaust. Make sure the bike you choose can support your luggage system by checking the manufacturer’s recommended maximum load.

4. Repair and Service support

It might not be possible at times to get the bike to a service centre if you face an issue on the highway or in a secluded place. So its better to know to fix the basics yourself. Go for a bike that you feel confident repairing and that you can carry the tools to mend. You’ll probably need to fix your bike, change a tube, fill a tyre, or improvise anything to get you to the nearest mechanic. If you feel uneasy working on a motorbike, it is not an issue.
