Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was sent to judicial custody in the Mumbai cruise drug raid case after a long court hearing on Thursday afternoon.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had also sought an extension of custody of Aryan Khan and seven others accused in the case till October 11. However, the magistrate denied the same and instead sent them to judicial custody for fourteen days.

Aryan’s lawyer Satish Manshinde has applied for his bail application which will be heard at 11 am today.

Since, Aryan Khan and the others who have been sent to judicial custody cannot be sent to a jail without a negative Covid-19 test report following SOP, they spent Thursday night at the NCB office instead. They have been granted permission to meet their family members by the magistrate.

For the unversed, Aryan Khan was arrested after the NCB conducted a raid on the Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday night. A rave party was allegedly taking place on the ship and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son was on board. However, no drugs were found on him, an NCB officer had cleared.

Seven others were arrested with Aryan Khan, namely Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar. They were all presented in court on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Bollywood has come out in support of Shah Rukh’s son. They have been taking to social media handles to demand that Aryan should be given a clean chit in the case.
