Ather Energy: According to an article by Business Standard, Midway through 2024, Ather Energy, a producer of electric two-wheelers, will introduce the “Diesel,” a family scooter.
According to those with knowledge of the situation, suppliers have already begun to increase production in order to fulfil the expected demand for the new model.

The 450S and 450X models’ practicality problems are intended to be addressed with the new family scooter. It is anticipated that the new e-scooter would have a roomier boot, a more roomy floorboard, and a larger seat. Additionally, the scooter’s performance may be adjusted for a longer range and softer handling. It is anticipated to be less expensive than the current 450 range, which has a starting price of ₹1.30 lakh.
With improved acceleration and a top speed of up to 100 kph, the upgraded 450 series scooter is expected to deliver improved performance. Additionally, new features could be added to the design. Mehta promises that even with a higher price tag, the expense will be justified.
During testing, the future family e-scooter was observed. It has a traditional style with a broad, level seat and footboard. The forthcoming e-scooters are anticipated to come with alloy wheels, a touchscreen instrument console, LED lights, and a front disc brake, however, exact technical specifications are still unknown.
