Ramesh Chauhan, founder and chairman of Bisleri International Pvt Ltd owns India’s largest selling bottled water brand Bisleri. He has confirmed that the company is taking forward talks with bottled water giant Tata Consumer Products to sell its stake.
But, no agreement has been signed yet as the talks are still going on. Nothing has been finalized yet. Chauhan insisted that the family is not looking to sell the entire stake in the company. But discussions are on with Tata for the sale of a part of the stake.
Talking to media, Ramesh Chauhan said that the valuation of the company is being estimated at Rs 6,000 to 7,000 crore for this deal and buying the company’s stake is more important than the valuation. Apart from Tata Consumer, talks are also going on with other companies for the sale of Bisleri’s stake.
However, Chouhan refused to discuss those names. He said that we are in talks with Tata. We are also in talks with other companies but we cannot disclose their names.
