BMW i5 EV: The first-ever fully-electric 5 Series has undergone extensive testing at BMW for some time, and it will ultimately be unveiled to the world on May 24, 2023. The i5 will be based on the newest 5 Series, and the BMW teaser trailers show off some of the appearance and interior features that will make you think of the i7’s flagship model.
BMW i5 EV specifications
The new 5-Series i5 is offered in 48V mild hybrid, diesel-petrol, and electric versions. Additionally, it will have a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. The i5 contains an 80.7 kWh battery pack. From 340 horsepower to 544 horsepower are available in it. It will offer a range of 563kms.
Features
The BMW i5’s cabin will have an athletic design and sporty seating for its passengers. Inside, there will be a flat-bottomed steering wheel, automatic climate control, two 12.3-inch screens running the iDrive 8 operating system, premium upholstery, multi-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and brushed metal highlights. Passengers should be protected by many airbags and sophisticated driver assist features.
Launch details
A high-performance M version of the i5 has also been promised by BMW in addition to a waggon model. BMW has been silent about its upcoming electric vehicle, but everything will be unveiled on May 24.
