BMW R18: BMW Motorrad India, a subsidiary of the German luxury automobile manufacturer BMW Group, has recently launched the R18 Transcontinental cruiser bike in India. This bike is the most powerful and expensive motorcycle produced by BMW Motorrad India. The R18 Transcontinental cruiser bike is available in India through the SBU route, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 31.5 lakh.

Powerful Engine and Impressive Features

The BMW R18 Transcontinental cruiser bike is equipped with a powerful 1,802cc liquid and oil-cooled, flat-twin cylinder boxer engine that generates 91 hp power at 4,750 rpm and 158 Nm torque at 3,000 rpm. It is considered to be the most powerful engine in the BMW Motorrad India lineup.

The R18 Transcontinental cruiser bike boasts several impressive features such as active cruise control, automatic stability control, and dynamic engine brake control. The motorcycle also has heated grips, heated seats, adjustable brake and clutch levers, an infotainment system, an engine protection bar, an adaptive headlight, and an antitheft alarm system. The bike also has a fuel tank capacity of 24 litres, with 4 liters of reserve fuel. It weighs 427 kg and can reach a top speed of 180 kmph. The bike is available in five different color themes, giving customers a range of options to choose from.

Price and Craze for the BMW R18

The BMW R18 Transcontinental cruiser bike is priced at Rs 31.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, making it one of the most expensive bikes in the country.
