Actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan ND Kiara Advani’s ‘s advertisement of a bank has led to massive uproar on social media. Twitter users have reacted strongly to the clip, calling it anti-Hindu. The advertisement showing Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani has hurt religious sentiments, they have said.
The 50-second advertisement created an uproar on the social media as many netizens commented they would close their accounts with the bank. Hashtags like #BoycottAUSmallFinanceBank and #BoycottAamirKhan were also trending on Twitter.

Boycott call
Giving a boycott call, a user wrote, “Boycott products ad by religious fanatic actors, who only provide unsolicited advice to Hindus but never utter a word about d bigotry of their religion. What right the Aamir Khan has to talk abt Hindu traditions who says “Feeling unsafe in India?”
Another user tweeted, “Looks more like a wedding attire ad than a bank. This is what happens when there are woke people in the marketing team.”
Yet another post read, “Marketing gone mad. Twisting the sacred tradition that has a deeper meaning and a cause only makes the creator a laughing stock. This ad would be a good joke that’s all.”

Vivek Agnihotri calls it ‘bakwas
Vivek Agnihotri, director of The Kashmir Files also shared his views on Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani’s advertisement. Vivek stated that the advertisement hurt the sentiments of Hindus and termed it as ‘bakwas’. His tweet:
Minister upset
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra requested the actor ro not hurt religious sentiments.
“I do not consider it appropriate. Such things about Indian traditions, customs, and deities keep coming, especially (from) Aamir Khan. The sentiments of a particular religion are hurt by such acts,” Mishra said. He also said the actor did not have the right to hurt anyone’s sentiments.
The 50-second clip by AU Small Finance Bank advertisement that features Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani, shows the two as a married couple driving home after the wedding.
The duo is discussing how neither of them cried during their “bidai”. It then goes on to show Khan moving into his bride’s household and taking his first step inside, as against the traditional Indian culture of the bride shifting into the groom’s house. Khan then explains how these small changes can help bring about bigger transformations.
