Adani Power Q2 Results : Adani Power Reports Robust Q2 FY25 Results, Revenue and Profit Show Strong Growth

Adani Power Q2 Result: Adani Power Ltd. (APL), a key player in the Adani portfolio, has announced strong financial results for the second quarter of FY25, showing significant year-over-year growth. For Q2 FY25, Adani Power reported a revenue increase of 10.8% to Rs. 13,465 crore, up from Rs. 12,155 crore in Q2 FY24. For the first half (H1) of FY25, continuing revenue rose by 20% year-over-year to Rs. 28,517 crore, a growth driven largely by increased power sales and improved demand.

Significant EBITDA and Profit Before Tax Growth

In addition to revenue gains, APL recorded a notable 24.6% rise in consolidated EBITDA for Q2 FY25, reaching Rs. 5,402 crore compared to Rs. 4,336 crore in the same period last year. For H1 FY25, EBITDA increased by an impressive 38.3% to Rs. 11,692 crore, attributed to greater volumes and cost efficiencies in fuel and operations. Consolidated profit before tax (PBT) surged by 44.8% in Q2, reaching Rs. 3,537 crore, while H1 PBT climbed 69% year-over-year to Rs. 8,020 crore.

Higher Power Sales Drive Results

APL’s power sales volume rose substantially, with Q2 FY25 sales at 21.9 billion units (BU), a 21% increase from 18.1 BU in Q2 FY24. For the first half of FY25, total power sales stood at 46 BU, marking a 29.2% growth over H1 FY24’s 35.6 BU. This rise in sales, coupled with lower operational and fuel costs, underscored APL’s ability to capitalize on increased market demand and optimize performance across its operations.
