High speed mobile internet 5G service has been started in the country from October 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted 5G service to the country from Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. At present, 5G connectivity will be available only in select cities in the initial phase. In the first phase, 5G connectivity will be started in cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. After that it will gradually expand and by 2023 it will be released across the country.
During the launch of 5G service in the sixth edition of India Mobile Congress 2022, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani also announced the launch of 5G service in major cities of the country. Along with this, Bharti Airtel also announced that Airtel’s 5G network will start in eight major cities of the country like Delhi, Bangalore.
Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal said during the launch of 5G service at India Mobile Congress 2022 that we will start 5G connectivity in eight cities like Delhi, Bengaluru in the first fed. In which major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Bangalore are included. Sunil Mittal said that after this Airtel 5G will be extended to almost all the cities of the country by March 2023 and by March 2024 there will be Airtel 5G in the whole country.
Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani said during the 5G launch that Jio will be the first to launch 5G service in the country. By 2023, there will be 5G service in the streets of the country. Ambani said that 5G will be affordable and it will reach the common man. In the first phase, Jio 5G connectivity will be started in 13 major cities of the country namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. , After this it will be extended to all the districts of the country by December 2023.
So far no information has come about Vodafone-Idea (Vi) 5G. However, Vi issued a statement some time ago that the company will announce the launch of 5G service according to the use case. The company’s CEO Ravinder Thakkar had said that the company will decide on the 5G rollout based on various factors like customer demand, capacity requirement and competitive dynamic.
