Akasa Air Chief Executive Officer Vinay Dube has revealed that it Akasa Air is all set to place large orders for aircrafts in 2023 ,in order to en cash on the anticipation booming demands for domestic and international flights.
Akasa Air to place “substantially large orders” in 2023
This is a Welcome News for Indian Aviation Industry whose stocks has risen recently after Air India, Tata owned vintage Maharajah placed a mega order for 840 planes from Airbus and Boeing.
Dube has not specified the numbers will and has stated,
“Before the end of this year we are going to place another aircraft order that is going to be substantially larger than the 72 aircraft order we have placed.”

Akasa fleet comprises of single narrow bodied planes
Aviation Industry sources has stated that Akasa Air has 17 Boeing 737 MAX planes and had earlier placed orders for 72 aircraft, which is expected to be delivered by March 2027.
Being a low cost Airline , Akasa Air has in its fleet single narrow body planes to control its costs and Vinay Dube has not revealed whether Akasa would go for Boeing or Airbus.
