The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets milk and milk products under the brand name Amul, has hiked the price of milk by Rs 2 per litre effective August 17, news agency ANI said in a post on Twitter.
The price of Amul Gold will be Rs 31 per 500 ml, Amul Taaza will be sold at Rs 25 per 500 ml, and Amul Shakti will be at Rs 28 per 500 ml.

The company has said the price hike has been done due to rise in the cost of energy, packaging, logistics, cattle feeding cost.
“The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, marketer of milk and milk products under the brand name of Amul, has decided to increase the milk prices by Rs 2 per litre in markets of Ahmedabad and Saurashtra of Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, West Bengal, Mumbai and all other markets where Amul is marketing its fresh milk effective from August 17, 2022,” it said in a statement.
