Manufacturing Expansion in India
In addition to the price cuts, Apple is planning to expand its manufacturing operations in India. According to a report by Moneycontrol, Apple will begin manufacturing the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models in India for the first time. Currently, Apple manufactures the iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE in India. The Pro models are not yet manufactured locally.
Impact on Indian Market
Apple’s decision to cut prices and expand manufacturing in India aligns with its strategy to increase its market share and make its products more accessible to Indian consumers. The price reductions, although not yet reflected on the official website, are expected to be implemented soon across various online and offline retailers.
With the implementation of these price cuts and the local manufacturing of more models, Apple is poised to strengthen its foothold in the Indian market, offering more competitive pricing and catering to a broader consumer base.
