Ashneer Grover

Ashneer Grover: BharatPe, a leading Indian fintech company, has reached a settlement with its former co-founder Ashneer Grover. This brings an end to a long and public legal fight. Both sides have decided to move on. Grover will no longer have any ties with BharatPe.

Ashneer Grover and BharatPe Settlement Details

Ashneer Grover, once a key figure at BharatPe, will no longer be linked to the company. A spokesperson from BharatPe confirmed that Grover has given up his position and shares in the company. Part of his shares will go to the Resilient Growth Trust, helping BharatPe. The remaining shares will be handled by his family trust.

Grover will also give shares back to his former colleague and co-founder, Bhavik Koladiya. This settles an ongoing issue where Koladiya claimed that Grover still owed him money for shares he had transferred. With this agreement, both BharatPe and Grover have decided to drop all legal cases against each other.

Ashneer Grover’s Exit from BharatPe

Ashneer Grover’s departure from BharatPe marks the end of an important chapter. He was once celebrated as one of India’s top fintech entrepreneurs and was key to the company’s success. However, things took a turn for the worse. Accusations of financial wrongdoing involving Grover and his family surfaced. This resulted in several legal battles, criminal complaints, and an ongoing investigation by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police.

The EOW had earlier arrested Deepak Gupta, Grover’s brother-in-law, on charges related to an alleged Rs 81-crore fraud involving BharatPe’s funds. However, with Grover now out of the company, he has expressed optimism for BharatPe’s future, wishing the company continued success.

Ashneer Grover’s New Ventures

While Grover has moved on from BharatPe, he is preparing for his next venture in the fintech world. Grover, who became a household name after his appearance on Shark Tank India, is now developing a new project called ZeroPe. This platform aims to provide medical loans to those in need. Additionally, he founded Third Unicorn, which introduced a fantasy gaming platform called CrickPe in 2023.
