Budget 2024: The allocations for six “core of core schemes” in India’s 2024-25 budget have seen a notable increase to ₹1.12 lakh crore, marking a 3% rise from the revised estimates of ₹1.08 lakh crore for 2023-24. This increment represents a substantial 30% surge compared to the budget estimates of ₹86144 crore for the ongoing fiscal year.

Key Highlights:

Sitharaman highlighted the accelerated upgradation of anganwadi centers under Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 to enhance nutrition delivery, early childhood care, and development.
