Mark Zuckerberg: The experts in cage boxing have been called in by Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg has gotten assistance from two UFC champions, days after Elon Musk and Georges St-Pierre teamed up for a training session. Israel Adesanya, the UFC featherweight champion, and Zuckerberg appear to have trained together in a series of pictures shared by Adesanya on Tuesday. Volkanovski had just three days earlier successfully defended his title at UFC 290.
Zuckerberg Joins UFC Champions on the Mats
The three guys are seen in the images standing on mats while wearing workout shorts, with Zuckerberg’s wrists taped. “No fugazi with Mark,” Adesanya penned. “This is serious business.” Zuckerberg wrote on Instagram, “It was an honour to train with you guys!” Adesanya’s Instagram stories from other times show Zuckerberg wakeboarding while being pulled by a boat. Where exactly the gathering took place is unknown. Volkanovski and Zuckerberg have previously collaborated on the Metaverse virtual reality project.
From UFC Events to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments
Zuckerberg has been aligning himself more and more with MMA supporters over the past year. In addition to nearly exclusively following MMA accounts on social media, Zuckerberg went to a UFC Apex event in October with his wife, Priscilla Chan. The creator of Facebook has also participated in Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments. A recent online feud between Musk, the inventor of Tesla, and Facebook CEO Zuckerberg led to both billionaires saying they’d like to compete in MMA. Dana White, president of the UFC, has frequently said that he spoke to both guys and that they are committed to a fight. Even clothing featuring “Musk vs. Zuckerberg” has been printed by the UFC and is available for purchase on their website. Although White keeps dropping hints that a confrontation between the two is very likely, it is unclear where or how it would occur.
