The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has increased its vigil on SpiceJet, which has been facing several financial challenges in recent months. However, the airline has denied any such development.
This comes at a time when various lessors are seeking re-possession of aircraft leased to SpiceJet and some cases have been settled by the airline. The official told PTI that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has kept SpiceJet under observation for over three weeks and it is an ongoing process.
On the other hand, aviation regulator DGCA is analyzing the special audit report after completing the audit of grounded go-first planes in Mumbai and Delhi from July 4 to 6. The special audit focused on aspects related to safety as well as physical verification of arrangements made for resumption of flight operations, the regulator said.
