PM Modi’s Observations on Election Cycles
In his speech at Delhi’s Startup Mahakumbh, PM Modi made a jab at Rahul Gandhi. Modi said, “…Start-up toh bohot log launch karte hain, aur politics mein toh zyada. Baar baar launch karna padta hai. Aap mein aur unme fark yeh hai ki aap log prayogsheel hote hain, ek agar launch nahi hua to turant doosre par chale jaate hain…”
“Usually, a business mind thinks that elections are near, we will see when the new government comes to power. Elections have been declared and despite that you have organised such a big event. This means that you know what’s going to happen in the next five years,” he said.
PM Modi’s Vision for Entrepreneurship in India
Regarding the shifting mentality of the startup ecosystem, PM Modi states that India’s youth have opted to become employment creators rather than job seekers. During the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi stated that over 45% of startups in the country are led by Indian women.
