From NBC Universal to Twitter, Know about Linda Yaccarino’s Journey to the Top

Twitter

Twitter: According to numerous media sources, Linda Yaccarino, the executive in charge of advertising at NBC Universal, is in talks to perhaps take over as CEO of Twitter. This information was released after Elon Musk said on Thursday that he had found a new CEO for Twitter but he would not give the person’s identity.

Professional Background of Linda Yaccarino

Yaccarino has an excellent tenure of more than ten years at NBCUniversal, where she has been a vocal proponent for the development of better techniques for determining the efficacy of advertising. She was instrumental in the successful launch of NBCU’s ad-supported streaming service, Peacock, as the head of the company’s advertising sales section. She attended Penn State University for her studies, specialising in communications and liberal arts. Yaccarino worked for Turner Entertainment for 19 years, where she played a key role in updating the network’s ad sales procedures to conform to the digital environment.

Yaccarino’s Interview with Elon Musk and its Impact on NBCUniversal

Elon Musk was interviewed by Yaccarino at a recent advertising convention in Miami. She lauded Musk’s commitment and work ethic while at the event and urged the crowd to applaud him. It would be yet another major setback for NBCUniversal if Yaccarino left the firm. Just a month ago, Comcast announced the resignation of NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell after an investigation into a complaint led to his admission of having an inappropriate relationship with a colleague. She has reportedly always supported Musk and stated that he needed time to make changes at the microblogging platform, according to a report by Business Insider. Additionally, he apparently told her friends that she wanted to run Twitter.
