Gold Rate Update: After gold prices fell slightly in the international market on Thursday following the release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve’s most recent policy meeting, gold and silver prices fell sharply on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday. Gold futures for April delivery fell 0.18% or Rs 103 to Rs 56,065 per 10 grammes.
Similarly, silver futures, which mature on March 3, fell sharply in early trade, with the metal falling 0.99% or Rs 625 to Rs 65,400 per kg on the MCX. When the market closed on Wednesday, the yellow metal was worth Rs 56,168 per 10 gramme and silver was worth Rs 66,052.

Gold Rate Update: What’s up on MCX?
Gold futures, maturing on April 5, fell by 0.18% or Rs 103 and stood at Rs 56,065 per 10 grams. Likewise, silver futures, maturing on March 3, declined sharply in teh early trade with the metal falling by 0.99% or Rs 625 to remain at Rs 65, 400 per kg on the MCX.
Multi Commodity Exchange of India is the full form of MCX. It is an autonomous body for commodity exchange in India. It offers to trade in bullion, energy and agricultural commodities apart from non-ferrous metals.
This is an exchange for commodities like the BSE is for stocks and shares. The MCX sells the products in bulk.
The price for the asset depends upon various factors and is not determined at MCX. The MCX Silver rates are set by trading activity and a bunch of different other factors.

The price of gold and silver has decreased today compared to yesterday, according to IBJA. The price of gold has decreased from Rs 56496 per 10 kilos yesterday evening to Rs 56456 per 10 grammes today. The cost of silver, on the other hand, dropped from Rs. 65986 per kg. to Rs. 65850 per kg.
