Hybrid work model to be the norm for Indian companies in 2023

The hybrid work paradigm benefits both employers and employees by enabling companies to complete tasks that call for in-person meetings and close collaboration while offering individuals the flexibility they need.

According to Krishna Raghavan, chief people officer of Flipkart, the business has been running in a hybrid mode for the past few months. According to both employee demands and outside influences, the company plans to stay adaptable in its approach and change the model as necessary, continued Raghavan.

The similar strategy is used by Tata Steel, with white-collar employees’ work schedules remaining flexible while blue-collar workers regularly attend offices.

92% of employees favour a Hybrid work model

According to a study HP performed in November, the majority of employees favoured the hybrid model. 92% of respondents strongly agreed that the model increases work-life balance, 88% thought it increases employee retention, and 72% thought it increases productivity.
For the majority of workers, there won’t be a daily commute or set 9 to 5 workdays anymore; instead, there will be flexibility between remote and in-person work environments, according to Arvind Usretay, commercial head for India and South Asia at management consulting firm Mercer.
Usretay predicted that in order to improve things for workers, more businesses would invest in hybrid work arrangements.
