Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has collaborated wiith online food delivery platform Zomato. The collaboration will improve the e-catering segment of IRCTC and passengers will be able to opt from a wide range of foof options. As per an official statement, the new partnership aims to offer rail passengers with more options especially culinary preferences which will eventually make their journey more exciting and comfortabel.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has demonstrated a Proof Of Concept (PoC) at five major railway stations which includes New Delhi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Lucknow. During the PoC, rail passenger can order and get pre-order meal via the IRCTC E-catering portal with Zomato’s assitance.
What Will Be On Offer For Passengers?
As far as the offerings are concerned, IRCTC will set to come with some special offerings and services for passengers. The organisation has announced some special Navrati thalis aimed for serving to the fasting rail passengers.
Apart from this, the partnership will make IRCTC’s E-catering segment more efficient and flourishing. IRCTC has primarily tied up with Zomato for supply and delivery of pre-ordered meals.
Zomato Shares Take A Leap
Zomato’s share price gone 52 week high of Rs. 115 yesterday i.e October 18 early in the morning. Later, the company has announced its tie-up with IRCTC.
