Kim Kardashian’s Controversial Comments on Indian Cuisine

Stars of reality shows Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian are among the distinguished attendees. Kim’s earlier remarks about Indian food have come to light with the announcement that she will be attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. On her show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim, she once referred to Indian curry as “disgusting”. On Twitter, her comment caused a stir. Many people accused her of insulting Indian culture. Later, Kim expressed regret and gave clarification, saying, “I never intended for my comment to be offensive to Indians or their culture. It’s just my personal taste. There are many foods I don’t like, including coriander and peppers, and some Armenian dishes I find unappealing. This doesn’t reflect my opinions on Armenian people or culture.”

A Culinary Extravaganza Awaits

The director of The Jardin Hotel revealed in a press release that about 2,500 meals will be made for the three-day celebration. World cuisines, such as Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Parsi, and Pan Asian meals, will be included on the menu.

The wedding will host several high-profile figures. Among the notable attendees are futurist Peter Diamandis, artist Jeff Koons, and self-help coach Jay Shetty. Former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish PM Carl Bildt, and former Canadian PM Stephen Harper will also be present.

Additionally, the guest list includes Tanzania President Samia Suluhu Hassan, IOC Vice President Juan Antonio Samaranch, WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Top businessmen like HSBC Group Chairman Mark Tucker, Aramco CEO Amin Nasser, Morgan Stanley MD Michael Grimes, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Mubadala MD Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Lee, Lockheed Martin CEO James Taiclet, BP CEO Murray Auchincloss, Temasek CEO Dilhan Pillay, and Ericsson CEO Borje Ekholm are also expected to attend.

The wedding celebrations follow the ancient Hindu Vedic traditions and are carefully organised. The Shubh Vivah, or wedding function, is scheduled for Friday, July 12. Shubh Aashirwad will be held on Saturday, July 13. Sunday, July 14 is the day for the last function, which is Mangal Utsav, also known as the wedding reception.
