Indore and Bhopal will be first cities in Madhya Pradesh to have access to Reliance Jio’s True 5G services. Jio has emerged as the first operator in the state of Madhya Pradesh to offer 5G services as a result of this launch. The launch is in response to a promise made by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, at a gathering in Ujjain on December 14, 2022.
Premier cities of Madhya Pradesh, Indore and Bhopal become first cities in the state to have access to Reliance Jio’s True 5G services
By January 2023, Jio intends to roll out its True 5G services to other significant cities in the state, including Jabalpur and Gwalior, in addition to its first launches in Indore and Bhopal. By the end of 2023, the business also intends to provide 5G services in every town and taluka in Madhya Pradesh. Jio has committed INR 4,420 crore ($604m), or 68% of the industry’s total 5G spectrum investment in Madhya Pradesh, to support the rollout of its True 5G network.
Jio subscribers in Indore and Bhopal now have opportunity to take advantage of the Jio Welcome Offer and avail unlimited data at no additional cost at speeds up to 1 Gbps+
The only carrier in the nation to provide a diverse mix of 5G spectrum throughout the 700 MHz, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands is Jio True 5G. Jio additionally employs a carrier aggregation technology that, according to the company, unifies these frequencies into a single “data highway.” The company’s True 5G network can enable low latency connection, machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, edge computing, and network slicing and is also freestanding, meaning it is independent of 4G.
A Jio representative commented on the announcement and stated, “In advance of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and the Global Investor Summit in January 2023, we are thrilled to launch 5G in Indore and Bhopal. The only 5G service offered in these cities is Jio True 5G, and we kept our promise to the state’s honourable chief minister to introduce True 5G services there.”
