The passenger who peed on a woman on an Air India aircraft from New York to Delhi was barred from the airline for 30 days, and the DGCA was informed of the incident. The man who reportedly acted inappropriately with the woman flyer while intoxicated has been the subject of a police complaint.

A police complaint has already been filed, and Air India is committed to assisting the regulatory authorities as well as law enforcement, the airline said in a statement. “As a first step, Air India has banned the passenger for 30 days, the maximum it is permitted to do unilaterally, and reported the matter to the DGCA for further action.”

According to the statement, the carrier has set up a committee to look into crew mistakes and provide solutions. “We have also established an internal committee to investigate mistakes made by the Air India crew and fix the shortcomings that prevented the situation from being resolved quickly. Throughout the inquiry and reporting procedure, we are also in constant communication with the offended passenger and her family, the statement added.
On November 26, after lunch, when the lights were out, the man approached the woman’s seat in business class while intoxicated, unzipped his pants, and showed his privates to her. After urinating, he allegedly stood there until one of his fellow passengers urged him to go.

Senior citizen who was involved in the incident wrote to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekharan to voice her displeasure with the cabin crew’s “very insensitive” response to the circumstance. She added that they did nothing to the man, but gave her a set of pyjamas and slippers to change into.
