Mass Wedding: As the highly anticipated wedding of Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant approaches on July 12, the Ambani family has made headlines with their charitable gesture. On July 2, the family organized a grand mass wedding for more than 50 underprivileged couples from the Palghar area at Reliance Corporate Park in Thane, Maharashtra.
800 Guests Attend the Mass Wedding
Approximately 800 people, including the Ambani family and representatives of the couples’ families, attended the ceremony. The event, which was originally planned to be held at Swami Vivekananda Vidya Mandir in Palghar, was relocated to Thane to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted ceremony. Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita were present, blessing the couples and participating in the celebrations.
Generous Gifts for the Newlyweds
As part of their goodwill, the Ambani family gifted each couple gold jewelry, including mangalsutra, wedding rings, and nose rings, as well as silver jewelry such as toe rings and anklets. Each bride received a cheque of Rs 1.01 lakh as her ‘streedhan.’ Additionally, the couples were provided with enough grocery and household items for a year, including 36 types of essential items, utensils, and electric appliances like gas stoves, mixers, and fans.
A Pledge for Continued Support
The Ambani family has pledged to continue supporting such mass weddings across the country during the upcoming wedding season. This initiative reflects their commitment to social responsibility and their efforts to give back to the community.

The grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant is scheduled for July 12, 2024, in Mumbai. The celebrations began with a private puja ceremony at the Ambani residence, Antilia, on June 29. The couple’s wedding festivities have been spectacular, in keeping with the Ambani family’s tradition of elaborate events.
The pre-wedding celebrations included a luxurious cruise party that started in Italy on May 29 and concluded in France on June 1. In March, a grand pre-wedding gala was held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, attended by about 1,000 guests, including celebrities, sportspersons, and industrialists. These events set the stage for what promises to be a magnificent wedding celebration.
