Petrol and diesel price update [22 April, 2023]: Fuel prices remain stable on Saturday. However, cities across the country have witnessed fluctuations in fuel prices. In Aurangabad, the price of diesel and petrol increased by Rs 0.27 per liter to Rs 93.82 and Rs 107.34, respectively. Diesel prices in Guwahati witnessed a steep jump of Rs 1.29 to reach Rs 89.85 per litre.
While the price of petrol increased by 80 paise to Rs 97.82 per litre. Trivandrum, Thane, Patna, Nashik and other cities also saw an increase in fuel prices, while petrol and diesel prices fell in Faridabad, Bhopal, Mangalore and Nagpur.

The difference in the price of fuel in the states is due to the tax and the cost of transportation imposed by the central and state government.

Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel rates daily, taking into account crude and rupee-dollar rates in international markets. Daily price changes for fuel are effected at 6 am every day.
