Petrol And Diesel Price Update [22 July 2023]: The price of fuel in the nation’s major cities remains unchanged on Saturday. Daily gasoline price reviews are conducted by oil marketing corporations (OMCs), and new or unaltered prices are released at 6 am every day.
In Delhi, a litre of petrol costs 96.72 rupees and a litre of diesel costs 89.62 rupees. In Mumbai, a litre of petrol costs 106.31 rupees and a similar amount of diesel costs 94.27 rupees. Each litre of petrol and diesel costs 106.03 and 92.76 rupees in Kolkata, respectively. These are, however, 102.63 and 94.24 respectively for Chennai.

In fact , since May 21 of last year, when the previous pan-India change to these took place, fuel prices have remained virtually stable.
Additionally, it should be noticed that the prices of fuel and diesel differ from state to state. This is due to factors like value-added tax (VAT), transport expenses, local taxes, etc.
