Punjab News: In a significant step towards ensuring a secure and regulated environment for both public and private security agencies, Punjab Police, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), successfully hosted the first-ever Stakeholders Conference on the Private Security Agencies Regulation (PSAR) Act. The event, held in Chandigarh, was inaugurated by Principal Secretary Gurkirat Kirpal Singh and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) SS Srivastava.
The conference focused on the need to streamline the private security industry in Punjab while upholding the mandated requirements of the PSAR Act. The Punjab government reaffirmed its commitment to providing robust support to private security agencies, highlighting the importance of collaboration between public and private entities for ensuring safety and security across the state.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is taking proactive measures to create a safer environment for Punjabis, with a clear emphasis on regulatory compliance and sectoral development.
