RTDC: Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Signs MoU with HUDCO for Rs 415 Crore Loan

RTDC: On behalf of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), an MoU was signed between RTDC Managing Director and HUDCO Regional Head for a long-term loan of Rs 415 crore at the Secretariat on Monday. The signing took place in the presence of Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari and Tourism Secretary.

Speaking to the media, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari highlighted that the loan, provided by HUDCO at an interest rate of 9.12%, will serve as a significant financial boost for the development of the state’s tourism sector.

“There are immense possibilities in the field of tourism in Rajasthan. A lot of work is yet to be done, and this MoU will provide financial support to harness these possibilities,” she stated. She emphasized that these funds will give momentum to various tourism projects, including the development of pilgrimage sites, historical monuments, and new destinations across the state.

She further added that the Rajasthan government, in partnership with the Central government, will work towards boosting tourism, enhancing the experience of tourists, and promoting ‘Rising Rajasthan’ as a key initiative to attract new investments in the tourism sector.

HUDCO’s regional head commended the efforts made for tourism development in Rajasthan and assured that the loan would contribute to rapid progress in this area. He also mentioned that the renovation of RTDC hotels and improvement of facilities at tourist sites would be undertaken on a priority basis. The loan includes a two-year moratorium, after which the repayment of the principal amount will begin.

This MoU marks a significant step forward in Rajasthan’s mission to establish itself as a leading tourist destination in India.
