Stock Market Today: Dalal Street is heading for a bad start on Monday as the GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX trading lower by 44 points at nearly 22,052.50. As the Bank of Japan got ready to begin a two-day policy meeting, investors celebrated the yen’s decline, and Tokyo markets began higher on Monday. In early trading, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.83 percent, or 319.87 points to 39,027.51, while the Topix index as a whole gained 0.93 percent, or 24.93 points to 2,695.73. Monday saw a strengthening of Asian markets as Chinese data surprised to the upside for once. Investors were attempting to manage a complex schedule of central bank meetings this week, which might signal the end of Japan’s free money programme and a slower pace of rate cuts in the US.

The Ministry of Defence and the company inked a Rs 2,890 crore deal for the mid-life upgrade of 25 Dornier aircraft and related equipment for the Indian Navy.
Adani Group
In FY25, the group plans to invest over Rs 1.2 lakh crore in its portfolio businesses, with a particular emphasis on green and renewable energy. According to Bloomberg News on Friday, the US has expanded its probe into the Adani Group to include the founder Gautam Adani’s actions as well as any potential bribes.
LIC
With effect from August 1, 2022, LIC intends to provide its staff a 17% pay increase. According to the corporation, it provided stainless steel for Kolkata’s first underwater metro line. The project had a 4,965 crore rupee value.
