Stock Market Today: Dalal Street is heading for a losing start on Friday, while the GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX trading higher by 45 points, at 19510. Today’s 46-point decline in the Nifty created a tiny green candle on the daily chart with an upper shadow, indicating interest in purchasing at lower levels. At 19,500 strike, put writers were observed fortifying their stance. Many businesses, including JSW Steel, Paytm, Hindustan Zinc, and many more, will be releasing their second quarter earnings results today.

Rupee rises; Tokyo stocks opened lower

Due to persistent geopolitical uncertainty, the rupee strengthened 15 paise to close at 83.13 against the US dollar on Thursday. This was in line with declining crude prices in global markets. Friday saw a negative opening for Tokyo stocks, mirroring down on Wall Street as investors assessed fresh remarks made by the head of the Federal Reserve that raised bond rates.

Stock Market Today: ITC Q2 net profit jumps to Rs 4927 crore

Major hotel-to-FMCG company ITC announced on October 19 that its September quarter net profit for the current fiscal year was Rs 4,926.96 crore, up 10.32% from the same period last year. According to a regulatory statement by the business, revenue from operations was Rs 17,705.08 crore, up 3.17 percent from Rs 17,159.56 crore in the same period last year. The figures roughly matched projections. Four brokerages conducted a survey, and the results showed that they predicted revenue of Rs 16,870 crore and net profit of Rs 4,933.9 crore.
