Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX increased by 25 points, or 0.11 percent, to 22,047 on Thursday, indicating that Dalal Street was off to a good start. In advance of tomorrow’s RBI policy announcement, Nifty finished Wednesday’s trading session flat, gaining just one point. On the daily chart, a modest negative candle with a lower shadow was formed. Following a fall in the value of the US dollar relative to major international currencies, the rupee gained 9 paise to settle at 82.96 against the US dollar on Wednesday. The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex ended the day at 72,152, down 34 points, or 0.05%. The overall NSE Nifty finished at 21,930, up 0.01%.

Apollo Tyres
For the quarter that concluded in December, Apollo Tyres reported a net profit of Rs 497 crore. In the third quarter, operations brought in Rs 6,595 crore. Regarding the US facility Piramal Pharma Riverview, the USFDA has released a Form-483 with three observations.
Power Grid
In the third quarter, Power Grid’s consolidated net profit increased by 10% to Rs 4,028 crore from Rs 3,645 crore in the same period the previous year. During the third quarter, Lupin recorded a net profit of Rs 614 crore. Operational revenue came to Rs 5,197 crore.
Mankind Pharma
In conjunction with the release of its third quarter financial results, Cummins India announced an interim dividend of Rs 18 per share. There was a net profit of Rs 499 crore during that time. Mankind Pharma’s stock will be closely watched on Thursday due to rumours that the company’s promoters want to sell off a portion of their ownership through block agreements.
