Stock Market Today: With the GIFT Nifty up 72.50 points at 24,888, the local indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex are opening higher. The Nifty is still trending upward. The Nifty Bank’s weekly options expiry contributed to a late-hour rally in banking stocks, which helped the index rise for the sixth straight day. From its lows on August 14, the Nifty has now increased by around 700 points, and it is still rising towards 25,000. At 101.21, the US Dollar Index (DXY), which compares the value of the dollar to a basket of six foreign currencies, was up 0.09%.

Coal India

The Ministry of Coal, Government of India, owns Coal India Limited (CIL), a central public sector undertaking in India. It is the world’s biggest producer of coal owned by the government. Coal India emphasised that it will continue to participate in the sale of such blocks and stated that it is actively seeking purchase of important minerals, including lithium, both domestically and internationally.

BEML

An Indian public sector company called BEML Limited, formerly known as Bharat Earth Movers Limited, produces a range of heavy machinery for use in mining, transportation, railroads, and earth movement. In order to develop innovative marine applications for defence, state-owned BEML and the Indian Navy’s Directorate of Marine Engineering inked a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU).
