Stock Market Today: Dalal Street got off to a good day as Nifty futures on the Gift Nifty traded at 21,027, up 27.50 points or 0.13%. With the Sensex breaking beyond 69,000 for the first time on Tuesday, India’s equity indices reached new all-time highs. The market was riding high on the back of increased foreign investment inflows and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victories in the most recent state elections. The Nifty closed at 20,855.10, up 168.30 points, or 0.81%. The Sensex closed at 69,296.14, up 431 points, or 0.63%.

Power Grid Corporation

In order to establish the Inter-State Transmission System Project for “Transmission system for evacuation of additional 7 GW of RE power from Khavda RE park under Phase III Part B” on a Build, Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis, the company was declared the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding process.

HDFC Bank

The re-appointment of M. D. Ranganath as an Independent Director of the Bank, Sandeep Parekh as an Independent Director of the Bank, and Sashidhar Jagdishan as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Bank have all been proposed to shareholders by the private sector lender.

State Bank of India

Final approval for SBICAPS (a wholly owned subsidiary of SBI) to purchase a 20% share in SBI Pension Funds has been granted by the Bank’s Executive Committee of the Central Board (ECCB). In this regard, all regulatory approvals have been acquired. purchase of SBICAPS’s (20%) existing stake in SBI Pension Funds Pvt Ltd (a SBI wholly owned subsidiary). The Bank stated in a regulatory statement that it has secured the necessary regulatory clearances.
