Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX increased by 27.5 points, or 0.14 percent, at 19,857.5 on Wednesday, indicating that Dalal Street was off to a good start. On the daily chart, the Nifty finished Tuesday 89 points higher, forming a small positive candle with an upper shadow. Tuesday saw a fall in U.S. markets, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq ending five-session winning streaks as technology shares dropped and retailers slumped following some negative outlooks.
Rupee rises; Tokyo stocks opened higher
Tuesday saw the rupee bounce back from its all-time low to close 10 paise higher at 83.28 against the US dollar, tracking both good local equity and the US currency’s weakness in the foreign exchange market. Despite a decline on Wall Street, Tokyo shares on Wednesday recovered some of their early losses. After initially falling, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose to gain 0.32 percent, or 105.76 points, to 33,459.90 in morning trading. In the meantime, the Topix index gained 0.46 percent, or 10.25 points, to 2,378.04.

Titan
The Competition Commission of India gave Titan permission to purchase a stake in CaratLane. Titan had previously declared in August 2023 that it intended to acquire a 27.18% share in CaratLane.
Jio Financial Services
Organisation filed a request for the company’s conversion from Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) to Core Investment Company (CIC) with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Maruti
The board of the company will convene on November 24 to discuss the preferential allocation of 12.32 lakh equity shares to Suzuki Motor Corporation.
