Stock Market Today: Dalal Street appeared to be off to a good start on Monday as the GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX trading higher by 129.50 points, at 22,240.50. After falling for four straight days, the Nifty rose by 151 points, forming a bullish reversal pattern on the daily chart. There are three equities that experienced a price breakout or volume spike, or they reached an all-time high . Among them was Motilal Oswal Financial Services, which shot up more than 7% to reach a record high. While D-Mart, also known as Avenue Supermart, finished the session with gains of almost 2% and it recorded a new high, Nippon Life India Asset Management also saw an increase of more than 1%.

NTPC

In the Chatra district of Jharkhand, NTPC’s North Karanpura superthermal power facility caught fire, according to officials on Friday. A 660X3 mw coal-based power plant is installed. To address the need for pacing green energy ambitions, the company’s completely owned subsidiary NTPC Green Energy and Indus Towers have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This development comes from a different direction.

HDFC Bank

For the quarter ending March 31, 2024, the private sector lender recorded a 37.1% increase in net profit to Rs 16,512 crore. While core net interest margin was 3.44 percent on total assets and 3.63 percent based on interest-earning assets, net interest income increased by 24.5 percent to Rs 29,080 crore.
